Default Live Links Are Not Permitted

Some live links are permitted upon approval from NEWDOC staff.

Live links have been approved already for sites such as Rapid Share
for VIP download section and other sites such as Lyngsat and
generally any site that is secured and contains valuable info such
as HH motor site, can be considered and allowed.

Here are some reasons why live links are not permitted.

It can possibly leave a trail that allows backdoor entry into this site.
Although, we have our security at its highest level there still is a
possibility of gaining access in this manner without a registration. It
depends on what sites the live links are directed to. To maximize the
safety and security of all members, live links are not permitted.

To emphasize, back door entry, to the VIP section or Files section is
unacceptable and to help in the security, no live links. The tunnel
that links two sites resulting from live links sometimes can not be
closed even when you close the browser.

Live links to other FTA sites are unacceptable in that members are
being directed to "competition" if you will, and more importantly members
are not aware of the other site security, protection of their user ID and
are getting redirected to other sponsors which compete with NEWDOC.
Other sites may contain virus and advertising that lure our members.
Other sites may have forwarding links to additional sites and so on.

Having no live links will minimize this effect.

Also, important, live link access to other sites or forums of any kind, is
utilizing their bandwidth. Some sites do not like this since they would
prefer you visit them directly and although using bandwidth, not wasting
it as curious-only members, who just pop in for no reason, would. So
using PHP adds an extra step for those folks who are serious about the
link, will visit and as a deterrent, save on bandwidth. Members who really
need to be there, go there and are thankful just to have the dead link.

Here is how you post a dead link:

Copy and paste the URL into the post. Directly in front of the URL,
without spaces, insert [url= and directly following the URL insert,
without spaces

Example:

If there is a link you wish to post and are not sure, just ask the staff.

You can still use the code tags if you want...that works just as well...
