This is not a HD Receiver. The SS 5700 merely enhances the video for 720i to 1080i and sends out thru the HDMI cable.

That may come at the end of this year or early next year.

Default Sonysat changes from 5700 to 6000

The Sonysat website in "product list" does not show any upcoming model 5700 today, as it did last week, but instead now shows a model 6000 to come out soon ?

For people who had reserved a 5700 with the dealer what does this mean now ?

FYI, 5700 is not out of the running. Both the 5700 and 6000 are
new SS STB to hit the market. SS home site will be updated
very soon to reflect the error that is there.

That's a good question SB. The other day the site showed the 5700 and now the 5700 isn't showed and the 6000 is. PM is probably right, site needs to be updated. MY post was the features not specs. Thanks PM.

In the pictures there is no indication of what model the box is.

Was talking to a SS support admin and he says the 5700 is coming
out and so is the 6000 and that there is an error on the site for about
5 days now. It was brought to SS home site attention and they said
they would fix the error.

However, I tend to believe it is not a mistake and we will see soon enuf.
