A buddy brought his captiveworks 600 premium to my home to load, he got a new computer so he has to do everything from usb , even loading, so he ask me to load it for him , he brought it up, I took the serial cord , did what I was suppose to do now I know because the receiver use to belong to me , now when I try to load it, all that will come up when I turn it on and to start loading is boot and then it goes to nothing, no display lights nothing, the loader is not responding it just sits there, what do you suppose could be wrong, any ideas would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance.

im having a problem loading the cw600 with a usb serial adapter it reboots my pc and i know it works because i use it for my vs,sv and then the other problem i use the usb serial on my wife's pc it works the only problem is i also own a cw600p and my wifes pc runs vista the 106 loader wont work but the 105 loader works for the cw 600 go figure

Hi ftakevin, turn on the CW600P first, by holding front power button and turning on
rear switch. Boot will be displayed and shud stay there. Then with the file
ready in the loader, click on start.

If boot won't stay on the display, then turn it on by rear switch. Now
turn the CW off using remote. It is now in standby mode. This is also
the alternate boot mode but boot don't get displayed. Same thing, click
on start on the loader.

Don't forget to enable the patch F1 (0,0,0)

Hi jimzzz11, you shouldn't use another members thread or post, who is
asking a question, so you can ask a question of a different nature. You
have posted the same question here in this thread under the CW600
Premium section and also in the CW600S section whereby you have received
many responses.

Do you have two different CW600 with same USB/Serial issues? Because
now I am confused. It would be better to put your new post in it's
appropriate section.

Sorry if I spelled you nic wrong, ok your advice was great, the file loaded but don't know how to enable , I was told after the first enable I wouldn't have to do that again but I thought in a way I might have to, anyway how would I enable that because pressing f1 0,0,0 brings an H up on the receiver and I remember last time I enabled it , the enable sign came up on the screen and I just clicked enable this time it doesn't, so I have no picture or sound at the moment. Anything i'm doing wrong, thanks in advance.

Ok sorry had it connected wrong , still don't have tv yet though , what do you suppose could be wrong there. The patch is enabled now so thats done.

When installing new releases, patch enable is not required. But if a
fact reset was done, then yes. Make sure a/r is turned on. It might
take a bit of time for keys to roll. Always found CW600P takes the
longest.

You can double check the lnb type and switch settings.

Well I want to thank you for all your help, you were correct about everything and the captiveworks 600 premium is working great. Thanks for taking the time to help me, your time was very much appreciated by me. Thank you again and please have a great evening. Before I put that post on before I should have known better and waited and especially waited for a bit to autoroll in. I am a mod on a couple sites and I always tell the members to be sure that they are down before they post and its not just a key change and here I am posting when maybe I shouldn't have been and not waiting long enough for it to come in, one more time, a huge thanks to you for taking the time to lend me a helping post lol, very much appreciated.

im trying same thing - site recomended 107 loader for vista and it works - im just having problems with receiver
